# Citation Share Node

> Retrieve share-of-voice citation data from Profound

The [Citation Share](/answer-engine-insights/interpret#citation-share-and-citation-coverage) node retrieves share-of-voice citation data from your Profound account. Use this step when you want to understand how often your brand is cited relative to competitors within AI-generated answers.

* Measuring competitive share of citations
* Tracking citation share trends over time
* Comparing citation presence by region or model
* Feeding competitive data into LLM analysis

## Node configuration

Selecting the Citation Share node opens its configuration panel on the right side of the Agent Builder.

### Metric

* Citation Share
* Citation Count

### Date Range

Select the reporting window.

### Filters

Use filters to narrow the dataset.

Fields may include:

* Analysis Types
* Citation Categories
* Hostnames
* Regions
* Personas
* Platforms
* Prompts
* Tags
* Topics

You can paste a static value or insert a value dynamically from earlier Agent steps by typing `/`.

When filtering on a field, you must also include that field as a dimension in the field settings.

### Output Label (required)

Examples:

* `citation_share`
* `weekly_citation_share`

## Advanced settings

### Date Interval

Group the date interval by day, week, month or year.

### Limit

Set the maximum number of rows returned by the query. This is helpful when using multiple dimensions or sending data into LLM steps.

## Output

Returns citation share values grouped by selected dimensions.
