# Connect Microsoft SharePoint to Profound

> Set up the Microsoft SharePoint integration for Profound Agents

This guide walks you through connecting your OneDrive and SharePoint files to Profound. Once connected, Profound Agents can read and create Word documents, read and write Excel workbooks, and read PowerPoint presentations.

  Profound connects to Microsoft services at the user level: each team member connects their own Microsoft account, and every Agent node runs with that account's permissions. A node reaches only the files that the connected account can open.

## Before you start

You'll need:

* [Microsoft 365](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365) work or school account with access to the [OneDrive](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/online-cloud-storage) and [SharePoint](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/sharepoint/collaboration) files you want Agents to use
* [Profound](https://www.tryprofound.com/) account

## Setup guide

    * In Profound, select your organization name in the top-left corner of the platform, then select **Settings**.
    * In the left sidebar, select **Integrations** under **Account**.
    * Search for **Microsoft SharePoint**, select it, then select **Add account**.
    * Sign in with your Microsoft account in the pop-up dialog and accept the permissions that Profound requests.

    If your account appears under **Connected accounts** with the **Personal** label, the connection was successful.

  <Step title="Verify the connection" id="step-2">
    To confirm that Agents can reach your files, test a node in the Workflow builder:

    * In Profound, [create a new Agent](https://help.tryprofound.com/articles/2212787792-create-an-agent) and choose **Workflow builder**, or open an existing Agent draft.
    * Add the Microsoft Word [**Get Document**](/integrations/microsoft-365/using-word-in-agents#get-document) node, then select your account under **Microsoft Account**.
    * Under **Document**, search for a Word document by name, paste its SharePoint or OneDrive link, or select **Browse documents in OneDrive or SharePoint** to pick one.
    * Select **Test node** (the play <Icon icon="play" /> icon) and check that the output contains the document text.

    If you plan to use Excel or PowerPoint nodes, test them the same way.

You can also connect Microsoft SharePoint directly in the Workflow builder. Add a Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint node, open the **Microsoft Account** dropdown in the node settings, and select **Add integration**.

## Revoking access

Revoke Profound's access to your files anytime by selecting **Revoke** in the connected account's action (**...**) menu. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint nodes that use the connection stop working until you connect the account again.

Other Microsoft integrations with their own connections, such as Outlook, stay available to Agents.
